Equipment: Aledo“The Speakeasy bar” is a panoramic bar on the top floors of the five-star hotel “Wawelberg”. The top floor of the bar is located under a glass dome, opening visitors’ views of the city and St. Isaac’s Cathedral, in particular.
The main element of the bar is the futuristic chandelier “Coral Sunset”, custom-made by American glass artist Dale Chihuly.
The being.light team had to create a new lighting installation to replace the existing one, which did not solve the problems set before it.
In a short time, a new lighting project was developed, integrated into the current development with minimal intrusion into the structural elements. It allowed to significantly reduce the level of glare from lighting fixtures, increase the contrast and, as a result, the backstage nature of the lighting architecture, and visually clear the evening view of the city from reflections in the glass.
Thus, the project received a new lighting installation to replace the old one, including soft light accents on the guest tables, and multi-faceted, exciting light for the glass installation. As a result, the bar opened with a new, unique light appearance, reflecting all the charm and charm of the space.
