“Kamchatka” is a clear metaphor for the life of the musician.
He earned a living and was engaged in creativity here. This place became the platform for the first concerts of the Kino group.
The exhibition hall is filled with coal, the walls are built of dark metal sheets, and a furnace is burning in the center of the composition.
The performance of the musicians is projected onto the wall.
The lighting concept was based on the original color photo of Tsoi in the boiler room, where natural daylight breaks into the room.
Therefore, we chosed a light of color temperature of 4000K to illuminate the exhibits. Such light emphasized the roughness of the walls and the metallic sheen of shovels and musical instruments.
In contrast, the stove became the most striking exposition object.
We highlighted it with color filters.
Light filters from white to red helped “spread the heat” from the oven around. They work on the principle of heating metal: the higher the temperature, the whiter the color.
