The Art hall is one of the most important
and largest halls.
It is also called “an exhibition
within an exhibition”
This room is a classic space
of a modern museum or
gallery, laconic and white.
We get to know Tsoi from a new perspective here:
he was not only a musician, poet, movie star, but also an artist.
His works are bright, straightforward, expressive.
He shows a fantastic future world, where the antique statues,
the supersonic aircraft and the square-headed funny freaks
are mixed together. More than 70 paintings, drawings and collages
can be seen at Viktor Tsoi’s “personal exhibition”.
These works were kept in family archives and private
collections for many years. Many things have never been
exhibited in public before.
In addition to painting and graphics this room presents thee plasticine
and wooden figurines. There are also jars of paints and felt-tip pens
brought from foreign trips.
